Adventures in Polyphasic Sleep: Day 2/3

Sorry, I didn't get around to posting yesterday's update, so I'll do a joint day 2/3 post.

I'm starting to feel tired. I think that for the first day and a half, my body was just thinking I was staying up late. So far though, it hasn't been horrible. I have found that eating a snack and a bit of exersize after I wake up helps with waking up.

Day two I slept through my morning alarm (I think I turn it off in my sleep as I can reach my clock from bed), so I ended up getting more sleep than I planned. I think it is safe to say I'll be moving my clock soon ;D. Even though I have been starting to see some rough spots, I am planning on sticking with this 'adventure' for at least a month.

Cheers all and I'll try to keep everyone over at the BC updated.

That's good to hear that you are sticking with it and plan on trying it out for a month. I'm sure the first couple weeks are going to be rought, but once you get yourself on a routine your body should adjust.

Good thinking about eating a snack and exercise. Eating helps wakeup the brain and exercise helps wake up your body. I should listen to my own advice because I'm horrible about eating breakfast and exercising regularly (if ever!) unless you count running about a 1.5 year old all day exercise :)

Keep it up! The first few days are the true test.

Oh, I hope you don't mind that I added a link to your previous post at the end of this post. I thought it would be neat for newcomers to see your previous progress.

Thanks!

The link that you added is very much welcome :D.

I would like to also add that I have been drinking more water (I read it's a good way to boost energy) and it has been helping along with the snack/exersize.

Here's a link where the idea of polyphasic sleep had first hit me (I wonder if Jason can guess):

HAD post on Hacking Sleep

how is it going?

i'm worried that you dosed off and haven't woken up yet due to your lack of sleep ;)

how is your experiment going? have you found any more tricks to keep you awake?
