Photographer Farrell Eaves dropped his Nikon Coolpix digital camera into a pond. After a week of attempting to dry it out, it stopped making sloshing noises, and the viewfinder and lense appeared to be clear. When he turned it on, it booted right up.
Then he noticed something strange.
The photos that the camera now takes are artfully corrupted. Images are randomly imbued with patches of color, artistic streaks, and interesting color saturations. The damaged camera produces it's own style of surreal art.
Now if that doesn't make you want to throw your $800 camera into the lake, I don't know what does.
