Update for ROBOGEEK

Let me know if this is what you are looking for. The pictures helped tons. I'm having a little trouble with curved sides...no big deal. I'll keep working on it but I wanted to show you what I have so far.

This is just a mock up so the stiching is very wide (for easy adjusting) and I haven't added the clasps. It's also 6 inches across the top but tapers some towards the bottom.

I will be adding a clip for the inside (for her keys) as well as the 2 back straps. It will also be interfaced for stability (it's not now because I don't like to waste it :) ) so it will have firmness.

Let me know if you need any changes or likes or dislikes!

you're quick!

Stella's picture

you work fast, jessi! i know it's only a mock-up, but still...

i admire anybody who can sew. the closest i've gotten to sewing is cross-stitch and hook latch. i'm sad.

hehe

Thanks. It took a little time just to figure out the peices, but it was easy cause it's small. I'm excited to see how they turn out actually. :)

Looks good

How deep is it, It looks about like an inch or so, but it tapers flat near the top, I think thats what you meant about the curved sides, that probably means the thicker items could only go in the bottom?

On thing is the other one has a little pocket to keep tiny things separate from the larger stuff. By the way, what is Interfaced? I don't sew but even though I am a guy I do Cross Stich, Its fun.

It looks nice though, thanks for the PICs.

So the little pocket is on

So the little pocket is on the inside by the keys?

Interfacing is used to stabilize fabric (ironed on) so it dosen't tear as well as add some stiffness as well as help with the shape.

I haven't measured how deep it is but it is about 4 inches tall (top to bottom). The curved sides like whats on yours gives it a little more room on the bottom where the bulk of items are held. I'm still working on the curved shape. I'll get it tho :)

I'll post more pics when I get the sides right (as well as the small pocket inside). Atleast I know I'm on the right track. :)

update

Ok so Justin and I were super busy with halloween costumes and stuff (we did 2 costumes each and I had a craft fare...which didn't turn out so great). So now with a short break, I'm back to finishing the additions to the prototype. I'm hoping to have something by the end of this week along the lines of what you are looking for (round edges, pocket inside, etc).

I'll keep you posted tho!

Thanks

Thanks for the Update... Check out my new Post.
