Super Mario Cake
All gamers should appreciate this wedding day tribute. One of the guests told me about this fabulous cake and said it was amazing in person. Word is, the Goomba's were not invited. I hope that the bride and groom live happily ever after in their Mushroom Kingdom!

wow! i'm actually very surprised that Gateaux was even familiar to you :) yup, same woman that did our cake. i totally recommend her cakes... she's very personable, creative and quite the perfectionist. actually, i believe she is a native wisconsinite which is always a big bonus for me :)

The Back Story

I'm not sure if the back story was on the flickr site or not.

Long story short...Brent and Annette had joked about having a mario cake since he's a HUGE gamer, and Annette likes 'em too. But they couldn't find Princess Peach and Mario toppers. So they said the heck with it and went with a dessert bar instead.

In the end, Annette didn't really say the heck with it. She searched and dug and found the little guys on a Japanese site and ordered them from Japan...all while keeping this a secret from Brent, and most of her friends. I did know, and almost let it slip!

I didn't actually try the cake...I instead gorged on Lemon Bars...thanks to Giao not understanding the words "No, I don't want any more Lemon Bars." and my inability to not eat everything in front of me!

if you're willing to give up the money to have a cake made, i'm ready for some gaming. if there isn't a cake that's okay too -- i'm always up for a party -- BUT a cake would be nice.
