Well today is black friday and earlier in the week I saw the black friday ads on bfads.net. Since my birthday was this month and I asked for money for a monitor I felt that a deal from Best Buy was great.

A " Westinghouse 22" Widescreen Flat-Panel TFT-LCD Monitor" for $199.99. Therefore, this morning my father and I got up at 4:00 am and went to best buy. We got there by 4:30 and the line was about 500 people long. It got even longer by 5:00 though It was probably about 750-800 then.

They had handed out all of the 42" LCD TV coupons and didn't even get anywhere near us, not that we wanted one though. So at 5:00 they started letting the mob in, The line moved in really fast and we were in the store by 5:25. We asked the store employee outside the store if there were any monitors left and he said there were plenty of those. When we got in sure enough there were plenty. My dad and I saw plenty of people with them and there still were about 15 on the shelf, definately had at least 10 per this store. So we picked one up for my birthday present and contemplated getting another to sell on ebay. We decided against that since the ad said one per person.

We then went to the checkout line got though really fast and were in our car leaving by 5:35 Am. I figure it was a very good deal saving $300 for waiting an hour. I felt sorry for all the people waiting for the $250 laptop though. My dad and I then had breakfast at a local diner and had a good chat. not bad for a morning I say.
