Slashdot in trouble?

Upon my daily ritualistic visit to slashdot every night at 8:03 i was suprised to notice the formatting was tragically messed up on the website(as you may see). Quickly i snached a screenshot to document this historical event falling upon one of the Internets most trusted technology websites corruption. So at this i leave you to decide Server Error or part of a larger conspiracy?

new site skin

I noticed today that they put up the new Slashdot theme based on the winning entry from the contest they held last month. I wonder if you need to empty your browser cache - it looks like you might have the old css file cached.

I deal with this sometimes when I do site updates for some sites that I've programmed. It seems like the only way around it is to rename files (like with version numbers in the name) or to assume people will eventually flush their cache. I'm not sure which is better.. it's pretty goofy renaming regularly updated files all the time.
