A Chinese man, nicknamed "Elephant Man", has had a facial tumor since birth and left it untreated for 31 years. The tumor has grown to more than 30 pounds. The man's backbone has become deformed due to the weight of carrying the tumor. Although the surgery will be risky, doctors are optimistic they will be able to remove the tumor and reconstruct the man's face. [link]
Update: Huang Chunsai has survived the first of many facial surgeries to remove the tumors from his face. He had 10 kg of tumor removed.
