Fire alarm traps prankstersHere is a fire alarm that would surely teach pranksters a lesson when falsely pulling fire alarms.

To use the device, the sender of an alarm must pass a hand through a special compartment to reach the signal dial. Once the dial has been turned, the sender’s hand is locked in the compartment until released by a fireman or policeman with a key.
The prankster would either be arrested by the police or burn to death in a legitimate fire.  Yeah, not exactly the best fire alarm design.

These were placed outside the building..

These were designed to be used for several buildings in an area and where placed outside the buildings.

Now they just put a waxy material that makes sure you get a really good finger print, so that you can find the prankster.

That makes me feel better that they were placed outside of the building. Although, inside or outside of the building, I don't think I would ever pull the alarm if my arm would get trapped. I like the waxy material design much better.
