Chicken Noodle Soup is sweeping the nation and, no, I'm not talking about the stuff you buy at the grocery store. Chicken Noodle Soup is a dance that originated in Harlem, NYC and is making the rounds to a high school dance or wedding near you.
The dance became so popular that Harlem natives DJ Webstar and Young B created a song to go with the moves. You can view the lyrics here.
The dance moves are fairly simple, but kids will put their own spin on the moves. YouTube has a ridiculous amount of Chicken Noodle Dance videos that you can view, but this one is probably the best example.
Here is a quick Chicken Noodle Dance howto:
- I Let It Rain - Let your hands trickle down like rain in front of your body.
- I Clear It Out - Spread both hands to the side as if clearing out the rain.
- Chicken Noodle Soup - Pump your arms up and down behind your back (kind of like a chicken) and kick out your feet.
- ...With A Soda On The Side - Reach your arms to the side like you're reaching for a soda.
- Repeat

Don't expect me to be doing this dance. I'd just look like a chicken running around with my head cut off.
