iRobot has come out with government and industrial robots:  PackBot Scout, PackBot Explorer, PackBot EOD, and R-Gator: Autonomous Unmanned Ground Vehicle.

When the task is dangerous, dirty or dull, products developed by iRobot’s Government and Industrial (G & I) Robots Division tackle the job. Adaptable, tough and reliable, these robots go where people can’t, shouldn’t or don’t want to.

From the battlefield to deep inside Afghan caves our robots are hard at work. These robots are robust and reliable products that make life safer and better for our troops.

And to think I wanted to purchase a Scooba...  I could use the R-Gator to patrol the perimeter of our home!
