St. Paul's Catholic Church in downtown Iowa City had a raccoon they named 'Ricky' that made a home out of the Church.  A tornado damaged the Church beyond repair and was demolished.  Despite coaxing by the demolition team to get Ricky down from the heights of the Church, he refused to get down.  The demolition went on as planned and Ricky flew off the Church as the demolition ball crashed into the building.  Ricky landed safely and was never seen again.  Here is a photo gallery of the events.  [via Metafilter]
