Poll: Do you own a gun?

My recent post about Armed America: Portraits of gun owners in their homes got me thinking about the BlogCadre community.  How many of our readers own a gun and what are their reasons for owning one? 

I've put together a quick poll in hopes that it will continue the conversation we started in my Armed America post.

my dad used to own one, but we didn't live with him. although i do like the idea of having one to protect my family, i feel very uneasy with 2 very agile and curious kids in the house-if something were to happen because i had one, i would never forgive myself.

I apparently can't read and I voted YES I own a gun thinking it said "do you hate guns"

Don't ask me where I came up with that, I apparently just read what I think it should say.
