Back in the day, Duck and Cover was a method of personal protection against atomic attacks which the US government taught to school-age children.
A "Duck and Cover" film was made and shown at schools across the US. The film opens with Bert the Turtle who is attacked by a monkey holding a stick of dynamite. Thank goodness for "duck and cover" and a blast-proof shell--Bert survived the blast. (You can view the original film here.) Besides 10 minutes of entertainment, the only real effect this "training" had on the US population was a state of paranoia.
Fast forward several years into the present... The US government has created a modern-day "duck and cover" with these "Be Informed" warning signs. If you take away the captions below the signs, a person could interpret the signs in any which way they please. Here are the HCJNW's humorous interpretations of the warning signs.
With these signs I may not have a clue on what to do during a terrorist attack or "Orange" threat, but I'll at least have a good laugh.
