Today's News

Today, I took a road trip with my dad up to Launceston, in the state's north. On the way up, we took a detour via the Great Lakes of the Central Highlands.

It had been snowing overnight, and since Dad left his Digital Camera in the car from a previous trip, I had the opportunity to play around with it. Here's a nice shot of snow beside the road on the way to Poatina:

There's been a lot of rain in the Midlands recently, and they're looking greener than ever. This was taken at about 5:00PM heading South, Towards Hobart.

Where to go?

I wasn't originally from Tassie, but have lived here since I was about two and a half :)

I reccommend visiting anywhere in Tasmania (of course), specifically the West Coast. South-Western Victoria is very nice in September-ish, but gets crowded over the summer...

Best time to visit is probably around Late September to October, since the weather's nice, but there aren't nearly as many people about.
