I love my Roomba

roombaThis past weekend we got a Roomba Pro.  When iRobot came out with a robot vacuum I was skeptical at first, but since having one, cleaning has become that much easier.

We have an older model, but boy, I love it.  It comes equipped with virtual walls and amazing suction.  Since Zachary began eating solid foods and crawling all over the house, I've been having to vacuum constantly.  Now that we have Roomba, I can let it vacuum everyday in all the rooms of our house without my supervision.  I'm happy to say that our Roomba passed the 'Cheerio test'.  I will still need to vacuum myself once or twice a month, but for day-to-day vacuuming, Roomba does the trick.

I did notice that iRobot has come out with Scooba.  It's a robot that will prep, wash, scrub and dry your floors all at once.  Sounds very cool to me, but for now I'll just appreciate the Roomba that we have.

Now if they came out with a robot that cleaned our bathtub my check is in the mail.

This sounds like an infomercial :)

My life was filled with the drudgery of constant floor cleaning. But now that I have my Roomba, I've lost three pants sizes, improved my relationship with my spouse, made a million dollars, and even found a robot friend for my kid. Thanks Roomba!

The truth is that I'm becoming a lazy slug, I don't want to do any chores anymore, I have no time left in the day for my spouse because I spend all evening watching a robot cruise around the house, and my son has frequent nightmares involving giant blue trilobites.

So yeah, it really is that cool.

And they should make one that flosses teeth, trims nails, gives haircuts, and washes clothes while you sleep. ...or maybe one that wakes you up in the morning like the one George Jetson has..

Man, my button pressing finger is really killing me. Time for a vacation.
