How long did your longest bout of hiccups last?

Hiccup Help

Hi, I learned years ago from a biolocy professor how to stop hiccups.
1. Stand facing wall with toes all the way to the wall.
2. Take three steps back being CAREFUL to do them exactly toe to heel, toe to heel, then bring other foot even with the last one you used for taking the steps.3. Bend over at the waist (knees straight) and touch the wall with the top part of your head (not your forehead). Drop your arms down along your sides. You may want to have someone with you the first few times. Try to achieve a 90 degree angle at the waist, or as close as you can come to it keeping your head on the wall).
4. Take 3 SLOW... deep breaths. HOLD THE THIRD ONE!
5. Stand up SLOWLY as you may feel dizzy.
6. Hold your breath for as long as you can, then you are done. This will often work on the first try, if not, just repeat it until it does (within reason). If you need to repeat it a few times, have someone with you if you get dizzy.
I'M SO GLAD YOU STOPPED!!!
Keep this in mind just in case they come back (they will eventually, we all get them from time to time).
I learned this when I was 16, I am now 51 and have yet to see it not work. Good luck and God bless!
