I knew the real reason for not making my bed every morning wasn't pure laziness... it was to keep the dust mites away. Yeah, that's right.
Research suggests that while an unmade bed may look scruffy it is also unappealing to house dust mites thought to cause asthma and other allergies. A Kingston University study discovered the bugs cannot survive in the warm, dry conditions found in an unmade bed. The average bed could be home to up to 1.5 million house dust mites. The bugs, which are less than a millimetre long, feed on scales of human skin and produce allergens which are easily inhaled during sleep. The warm, damp conditions created in an occupied bed are ideal for the creatures, but they are less likely to thrive when moisture is in shorter supply.

I was just getting used to the idea of bathing in wine and sake, but bathing in a pool of flesh eating fish? Yeah, not my idea of relaxation.
At such a spa, many Garra Rufa, a type of small tropical fish, also nicknamed Chinchin Yu, nibble fish or simply doctor fish, are put in hot springs. As they can live and swim freely in at least 43-degree-hot waters, they are naturally used for the treatment of skin diseases in such spas. When placed in the spa, these fish can feed themselves on the dead cells of the human body, since they only consume such cells, leaving the healthy skin of the human body to grow. The whole process is reportedly free of pain. It won't hurt and the bather might feel a pleasant tingling on his or her skin.

Here are your Lazy Weekend Links for this weekend:
An Argentinian couple has placed a paid announcement in a major newspaper "expressing their desire for some social neglect," meaning, they don't want to be invited to anymore weddings. Brussels Airlines is adding one more ball to their 13-ball logo on all tails and sides of their Airbuses because it was scaring superstitious customers away. Heart disease is the number one killer in women -- take care of your heart. Forget iPods. Bring the Boombox back. Check out this small collection of vintage Hungarian commercials I found on YouTube: sausages, milk, bug killer, workgloves. Did anyone else notice that the milk looked a little thick? Who eats that much sausage? And do people really hold hands a lot when they are wearing workgloves? I had an R2-D2 cake at my 5th birthday, but no R2-D2 trash can. Happy weekend!

I had often wondered if the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers and Easy Erasers really work on tough wall stains and mark-ups. After reading this woman's article I don't think I'll spend my money on erasers that could potentially cause abrasion and chemical burns.
