Ladder Collapses on QVC Salesman

ladder collapses on manLast night the fire alarm in our bedroom started beeping signifying that the battery was low.  We have a high ceiling in our bedroom, so, the only way to get at the alarm is to use the ladder.  As I watched Jason set up and climb up the ladder, I couldn't help but be freaked out that the ladder might unlock and collapse.  Thankfully, he changed the battery with no problems and, luckily, I didn't see this video until AFTER the battery was changed.  (I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure we have that exact ladder.)  [via digg]

Interactive Periodic Table

nickelI previously posted about a different kind of periodic table poster that is easy on the eyes.  Here is another periodic table that isn't as eye-catching, but very cool because it is interactive.  Scroll over, let's say "germanium", and find out everything you need to know (i.e., density, boiling point, etc.) about germanium.  It's a very handy tool.
