Happy 40th Birthday, Sesame Street!

In honor of Sesame Street's 40th birthday, popular characters from the show will be gracing the Google search homepage as the Google doodle.

To help celebrate, I've posted two of my favorite clips from the show: Stevie Wonder performing "Superstition" live and the Pinball Number Count.

Melissa Joan Hart vs. Jimmy Kimmel

Melissa Joan Hart [wiki], best known for her long-time role as Sabrina the Teenage Witch, was interviewed by Jimmy Kimmel last night after she was eliminated from Dancing with the Stars. She managed to keep a smile on her face after Jimmy Kimmel sent her down a spiral of embarrassment. Ouch!

RIP Soupy Sales

Best known for his children's television show Lunch with Soupy Sales, comedian Soupy Sales [wiki] died at the age of 83.

Leave it to the Japanese to come up with a big-boobed-spikey-nippled bee villain. Genius!

Any ideas on what this show is called? Betcha any money 'boobs' is in the title.

I've only seen 'Jon & Kate Plus 8' once or twice during it's earlier seasons so I can't say I know much about the family.  However, during the last several months I've learned more about the family than I've ever wanted to know.

Jon & Kate Plus 8's divorce episode that aired on Monday scored record ratings, bringing in 10.6 million viewers.  I guess America likes watching a family in turmoil.  After next week's episode, the show will take a break and return on August 3 with brand new episodes.

My advice...  Don't come back!  For the sake of your eight kids, don't come back!

Futurama is back!

Great news Futurama fans!  It looks like Futurama is coming back with all new episodes on Comedy Central.

Comedy Central has ordered all brand new episodes of Futurama, and the show has officially gone back into production.

An insider told Collider.com that the network has given the series an order for 13 additional episodes to air now that the network has run through all of the series' original episodes and the four full-length DVD movies. This news has sparked rumors that production has officially started again on the series and casting is underway.

Vintage Sesame Street Clips

For days now I've had the Sesame Street pinball countdown song in my head.  I thought I would post it today so this catchy tune can play over... and over... and over in your heads too.  You can thank me later.

Here's another vintage Sesame Street clip of "The Ladybugs' Picnic" that I thought you would enjoy.

All South Park episodes available online for free

South Park Studios has made every South Park episode ever made available online for absolutely free and uncensored.  The minor downside of "free" is that you have to sit through three short ads during each episode.  Link [via]
