Artist sets sail in paper boat

tetrapack paper boatFrank Boelter is a German artist who came up with the idea to create a life-size paper boat in which he would set sail from a shipyard in Lauenburg, Germany.

The boat is made of a 170-square meter piece of tetrapack paper is 30 feet long, 55 pounds and only took two hours to construct.  Boelter believes the boat will float for 40 days before it disintegrates.

Ship designed to sink

Sinking shipDon't send out the rescue boats to save this sinking ship -- it's meant to sink.  The ship was designed to partially submerge when entering a port in order to allow smaller ships to float away from its deck.

Eligible Chinese millionaires are being invited on a matchmaking cruise that is to set sail in late November.  Only men worth at least 2m yuan ($250,000) are eligible and so far 20 men have signed up.  Out of the 1,000 women that applied, less than 30 were accepted.

"Only those who were attractive in every category can take part in this event," said Mr Xu.

"Rich men are normally very busy, and most of the women they meet are there for work or business, which these men consider to be unsuitable for relationships."

China Daily also reported one of the men who had signed up for the cruise, who said "appearance is most important to me".
What kind of "love" cruise is this anyway?  If you were to ask me, women who are "applying" to go on a boat cruise knowing ONLY rich men will be on it tells me that the women are strictly there for business.  Seriously, who are we kidding.
