Turkey Breaks into Minnesota Home... Again

A turkey broke into the dining room window of a Bloomington, MN home on Thanksgiving day.  The police were able to rustle the bird outside the open deck doors, but by that time it had already made hundreds of dollars of damage.

"It's terrible. My house is a disaster!" Sandy Cobbs said Friday as window glass still littered the bloody carpet in her dining room. "Everybody thinks it's funny, but it's not. I just couldn't believe it was Thanksgiving and there was a live turkey in my house."

What's worse -- this is the second time this has happened. Police Sgt. Mike Roepke confirmed that on Christmas Day in 2004, a turkey came through the same window.

"At first I thought my buffet fell over. It was so loud and kept crashing," she said. "I went in there and said, 'Not again. Not again.' He was huge -- two or three feet tall."

Cobbs her insurance company doesn't think it's funny, either. The last turkey attack caused nearly $10,000 in damage including broken windows and ruined carpeting and drapes.

We're pressing our luck, people.  The turkeys are revolting!  The turkeys are revolting!

Update: Here's more proof the turkeys will be eating us next year.  Turkeys try to catch a train out of New Jersey.  [via Neatorama]

White Castle Turkey Stuffing Recipe

White Castle has a turkey stuffing recipe that is sure to clog your arteries this Thanksgiving.  Get your White Castle burgers and start stuffing!

White Castle Turkey Stuffing

Ingredients:
10 White Castle hamburgers, no pickles
1 1/2 cups celery, diced
1 1/4 tsp. ground thyme
1 1/2 tsp. ground sage
3/4 tsp. coarsely ground black pepper
1/4 cup chicken broth

Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl, tear the burgers into pieces and add diced celery and seasonings. Toss and add chicken broth. Toss well. Stuff cavity of turkey just before roasting. Makes about 9 cups (enough for a 10- to 12-pound turkey). Note: Allow 1 hamburger for each pound of turkey, which will be the equivalent of 3/4 cup of stuffing per pound.

I've never had White Castle in my life and I don't intend to start.  No White Castle burger shall taint my turkey.  White Castle be gone!
