Viral Ad About Teen Pregnancy

This viral ad was produced by the Leicester Teenage Pregnancy and Parenthood Partnership to stem teen pregnancies. It was pulled from YouTube, but seems to be back up.

It sure is shocking, but will it prevent girls from getting pregnant? Doubtful.

Transgender male claims to be pregnant

Thomas Beatie was born a woman but became a transgender male.  He is legally married to his wife Nancy and are now expecting a baby girl.

According to the story, Mr. Beatie was born a woman but decided to become a transgender male and legally changed his sex to male. He had his breasts surgically removed and started bimonthly testosterone injections, but kept his vagina.

Now identifying as male, Mr. Beatie legally married Nancy Beatie, the story says. The pair wanted a biological baby but Ms. Beatie was unable to carry a child. So they decided Mr. Beatie would carry the child.

"How does it feel to be a pregnant man," Mr. Beatie writes in the article. "Incredible. Despite the fact that my belly is growing with a new life inside me, I am stable and confident being the man that I am. In a technical sense I see myself as my own surrogate, though my gender identity as male is constant. To Nancy, I am her husband carrying our child ... I will be my daughter's father, and Nancy will be her mother. We will be a family."
The National Post could not independently confirm the story, but The Advocate verified the pregnancy with Beatie's gynecologist.

Animals in the womb

These images had made the internet rounds a while back and I still think they are as amazing as when I first saw them.

Using new technology, these images, published in UK's Daily Mail, reveal what until now has been a secret - exactly how animals develop in the womb. They were created by the same team who in 2004 showed how human embryos "walk in the womb".

Using a combination of three-dimensional ultrasound scans, computer graphics and tiny cameras, the team were able to show the entire process from conception to birth.

DDR Induced Labor

Dance Dance Revolution

Throughout my pregnancy people would ask me, "So, are you tired of being pregnant?" I would reply, "I wouldn't mind being pregnant forever"... until I got into my ninth month.

I was getting very anxious as my due date approached. I didn't want to be overdue, and it was coming to the point where I didn't think Zach would come early anymore, much less on-time.

When expressing my feelings to others about the possibility of being overdue, I heard a lot of advice about different ways to naturally induce labor. Spicy food. Long walks. Hanky panky. But nobody mentioned what ended up working for me: Dance Dance Revolution.
