road rage

sorry light

Over at The Imaginary Zebra, a couple guys came up with an idea that would reduce road rage.  They made SORRY and THANKS lights and mounted them in the back of a car.  They took pictures of the entire development process, as well as, pics of the end result.  Link

thanks light

Their project actually reminded me of another guy's attempt at reducing (or increasing, depending on how you look at it) road rage.  A former co-worker of mine was telling me about her friend who customized a roman shade/curtain to fit to the back windshield of his car.  Whenever a driver tailgated him, he would pull on a string placed conveniently next to his driver's seat and drop the roman shade which displayed the words "BACK OFF!"  I'm guessing he got rear-ended a few times.  What do you think?

Road Rage and Sissy Comebacks

As Jason and I were walking back to our car after having a nice dinner, we witnessed road rage at its best.

Two cars, a minivan and a Jeep Wrangler with a soft-top, were headed south-bound on Lyndale Ave. in Minneapolis and were stopped at a red light.  A male passenger in the minivan yells at the driver of the Jeep, "If you honk at me one more time I will cut your soft-top in half."  The light turned green and the Jeep sped off.

After we had soaked all of this in, Jason and I had a laugh on how ridiculous that  comeback was.  With how angry he was, you would think he would come up with something better than "I''ll cut your soft-top in half."  We were both expecting him to say, "I'll cut your n*** off" or something more grotesque or macho.  He might as well yelled, "If you honk at me one more time I will decorate your car with puppy and kittens and scent it with potpourri."

If you have a funny road rage story to share or have a suggestion for a better comeback please share it in the comments.
