Barier: Soccer Ball-shaped Houses

barier outsideWhat's a Barier?  A Barier is a soccer ball-shaped house that holds up in all types of disasters.  Not only is it durable, but also very cool looking.

At first, I thought they were a bit unusual, but once you take a look at the inside of one of these bad boys, you will learn to love their look.

They are customizable and even come in several fruit flavors: apple, melon, orange, and cherry.  Purchase a Barier in the size you like--small, medium or large--and color the outside in a color that matches your personality.  Heck, add as many windows as you like to let the sun shine in.

Competente home in the Philippines

My family visited the Phililppines this past May to visit with relatives and check out my parents' newly built home away from home.

Sadly, the Striegel family had to stay behind since Zachary is still too young to travel. (Maybe next year?) Thanks, Brian, for sharing your pics with us!
