This American Life offering free podcast!

Exciting news!  This American Life will begin offering a FREE podcast:

Starting Monday, October 16, each show will be available to podcast subscribers on the Monday following its national broadcast. After seven days, the shows migrate to the program's online archives.
The free weekly podcasts can be downloaded at the iTunes Store or either of these sites, This American Life or Chicago Public Radio

Faceless

facelessThe Show, a popular radio show in London, has an anonymous caller leaving them voicemail messages about her life.  They call her Faceless...

Faceless is the diary of an anonymous London girl.  She phones a voice mailbox and leaves messages, which are transcribed, then read by a synthetic voice to hide her identity.

Nobody knows who she is.

She has not told family, lovers or friends.  She can say anything, and never be held accountable.

I've just started listening to the podcasts and I'm hooked.  Ladies, if you like Bridget Jones' Diary you will like Faceless.

You can subscribe to   through iTunes for free.  There are currently 14 Issues available for download.

Open DeadboltThe folks at Lockpicking 101 were kind enough to let me sneak in a quick interview today.

I've run into so many camera-freaked and fed-shy folks at DefCon, I was shocked that they not only granted me a podcast worthy interview, but helped me pick my first deadbolt. Very cool.

Read on to hear more about lock pickers, lock smiths, the trend of security-through-obscurity policy in the physical security industry, and a quick howto by yours-truly on picking a deadbolt!

I spent the day hanging out with Justin Foell, Vince Veneziani and Phillip Torrone yesterday.

Something strange happened, though. Somehow all of our conversations seemed to relate to a common theme: the rail.

Listen in as Phil reflects on the importance of the rail, Justin describes his own first-hand encounter, and Vince demonstrates that sometimes it's best to just take a few steps back from the edge and respect the rail from a modest distance.

The podcast to end all podcasts

Here is the idea,

Over the past 2 years I have come across many people online and many people who have much knowledge and limited distribution of their knowledge and or skills.

So this is a call to anyone interested in making a podcast. I have capable resources to record and edit but I need people to make this happen. This includes a topic list (something to talk about), people to talk with, and music. If you fit any of these needs please leave a comment with your email.

Im out
Sam

BlogCadre BlogCast Zero

BlogCast BotBlogCadre is now podcast friendly!

The kinks are still getting ironed out, but if you have any ideas for a future program, if you'd like to make your own podcast, or if you wouldn't mind me interviewing you for the next BlogCast, please contact me.

During my Modcast.org interview the other day, Matt Shultz was kind enough to let me sneak a few questions in about his site.

After the break, you can listen to the program in your browser window or download it for later listening on your mobile device.

When you begin reading, you are already on a mission to find an answer. You follow along as the story unfolds, and when you've finished reading, you discover for yourself if the story is a tragedy, a comedy, or just a rewarding saga with a happy ending. The conclusion you reach is entirely dependant on your own skill and the writing efficacy of your narrator.

The howto is a unique sort of story, because in a howto, you, the reader, are the protagonist.
