Apparently, the Department of Homeland Security is taking a stab in the music industry by producing a CD called Migra Corridos in hopes to discourage illegal border crossings.  The CD has been distributed to radio stations throughout Latin America.  Music from the CD is streaming here.

FBI hiring 850 new agents

Put on your dark shades and suit.  The FBI wants you.

The FBI's unexpectedly large number of job openings results more from attrition and a wave of retirements than from growing government appropriations, Bureau officials told CNN.

The FBI routinely advertises openings for individuals with critical skills in computer science and language fluency. But John Raucci, assistant director of the FBI's Human Resources Division, says current needs are much more wide-ranging

The lengthy list of openings includes positions in finance and accounting, security, intelligence analysis, training and education, nursing and counseling, physical surveillance, electrical engineering, physical and social sciences, and auto mechanics.

Yes, that's right, there are FEMA concentration camps throughout the US. Go to the link and see for yourself and let me know if you live close to one. There are a few too many in Southern California (close to me) for me to feel very safe. http://www.greatdreams.com/concentration-camp-locations.htm

This is very scary, and while we've heard conspiracy theories and things floating around about the NWO and secret societies in our government, what you're about to read is real. Here is the link to the actual article, but read the following to see what it's about: http://progressive.org/mag_rothschild0308

Here is a map of Manahattan which indicates Manhattan residents who receive agricultural subsidies from the federal government.
Map of Manhattan agriculture subsidies
Yuval Levin writes:

The larger red blobs mark people receiving more than a quarter of a million dollars in farm subsidies annually.

The farm bill passed by House Democrats in July would continue giving millionaires farm subsidies (setting the income threshold for payments at $1 million a year, and keeping loopholes in place that allow some making much more to qualify). The Bush administration has proposed sharply reducing the income threshold to $200,000 a year and ending many of those loopholes. That would reduce the number of subsidy recipients by less than 40,000 (of the current million or so recipients)—though I suppose it might put some rooftop gardens on Park Avenue out of commission.

Pete Costello of Vancouver has been accused of faking retardation and collecting disability benefits for the past 20 years.

Prosecutors made this accusation after seeing a video of Costello contesting a traffic ticket.  Costello's mother claimed that he could neither read or write, shower, take care of himself or drive a car.

Pete and Rosie Marie Costello were indicted in September on charges of conspiracy to defraud the government and Social Security fraud, and the case was unsealed Tuesday. The Vancouver pair were scheduled to appear in federal court in Tacoma on Tuesday.

Nonprofits behaving badly

Recent intense scrutiny of compensation for top executives in the profit and nonprofit sector has uncovered financial improprieties both large and small. Money is at the heart of the issue, inciting angry protest regarding justice and fairness. How important is the issue of on the job perks and compensation packages? Just ask Michael Moore, who became a household name after his documentary “Roger and Me. This editorial documentary became ubiquitous among America’s working class as an example of both corporate greed and the lavish lifestyle corporative executives lead at the expense of blue-collar folks. Film excerpt: “[after massive layoffs] the more fortunate in Flint were holding their annual Great Gatsby party at the home of one of GM's founding families.
