Noogz' Planet Tutorial: Contents

Hey - If you're looking at this site from Digg or anywhere else, this should be your first stop on my amazing, all-inclusive tutorial for using the Planet RSS Aggregator - it comes in three parts:

  1. Getting and Installing Planet
  2. Making your first planet-enabled page
  3. Extending Planet

Planetising: Part 3

Yes!  It's that time - that time when I talk about how to really make your planet orbit.  This is where you learn how to do cool stuff, such as make your planet automatically refresh, to add cool designs to your planet, and to incorporate your planet feed into your homepages.  That would make this:

Planetarium: Part 1

If you have anything at all to do with the modern phenomenon with blogging, then you most likely know what an RSS feed is, if you don't, I'll tell you: They are XML files, designed to encode the contents of rapidly-updating sites (like blogs) into the minimal amount of information required to syndicate that content on other sites.  It's really taken off in recent years, with everything from Cell-Phones to Operating Systems (see: IE7.  If you disagree there, then you should read a bit from microsoft :P) being RSS-enabled.  So, I've decided to write this (hopefully) three-part tutorial to tell you how to use RSS syndication in the building of your own web site.

This should be fun!!!
