Frozen in Grand Central Station

Frozen in Grand Central Station
This is the coolest looking prank I've ever seen. But I wonder what was the high sign to freeze?

WATCH THE VIDEO HERE!

"This is a prank on a "grand" scale. Over 200 people gathered at Grand Central Station in New York to pull off a 'frozen in place' act. The onlooking travelers who weren't part of the act were mystified as to what was going on."

20-sided die MIT pranksters placed a 20-sided die on campus in memory of Dungeons and Dragons inventor, Gary Gygax.  Link.

The Paper Office Prank

paper office prankThis prank isn't creative like this Jaguar post-it prank, but I admire those people who actually have the patience to wrap that entire office in paper.

Improv Everywhere shirtless males The folks over at Improv Everywhere recruited 111 males of all shapes and sizes to walk around shirtless -- at one time -- at the Fifth Avenue Abercrombie and Fitch store.

Agent Nguyen came up with the idea for this mission when he noticed the 5th Avenue Abercrombie and Fitch store had a shirtless male model greeting all customers as they enter. Upon further examination, we discovered the model is only one aspect of the store’s celebration of the shirtless male. There are photographs all over the store of bare-chested men, both on the wall and on the products themselves.
See pictures, video and the full story here.  I especially love the photo spoofs they took at Central Park.  [via reddit]

Jay Leno Phony Photo Booth - Part 2

photo booth 2Last night, Jay Leno pulled another Phony Photo Booth  on unsuspecting Universal Studio visitors.  Because of the popularity of my other Phony Photo Booth post, I just had to post this one as well.

Google News Fooled by 15-Year Old

15-Year Old Tom Vendetta pulled a prank on Google's news system by writing a fake press release stating that he was Google's youngest employee.

Here is the fake press release:

"(I-Newswire) - 15 year old student, Tom Vendetta has been hired by search engine giant Google Inc. The student will receive a lowered salary, which will be placed into a bank account for future education, said Google CEO Larry Page. When asked what role Vendetta will play at the Tech Giant's offices, Page said he wouldnt have a role at the Main Offices. Instead he would work from his home in the New Jersey suburbs. Vendetta will be incharge of working with recent security flaw's in Google's beta e-mail service, "Gmail". Google said they first found out about him when they discovered the student's blog, at http://tomvendetta.be. The media giant said they looked forward to working with Vendetta's expertise in JavaScript and AJAX."
Only intending to play a joke on his friends, Vendetta tested the credibility of Google News and made himself "temporarily famous" throughout the internet.

...his practical joke had become a credible international tech story.  Google was even displaying reference to the press release in Google News and at n the news results placed above search results relating to Google employment or hiring.
Now that Google is aware of this credibility issue, engineers are "working overtime to institute stronger spam filters and shore up the credibility of the Google News system."

How secure is a credit card?

Ever wondered why we even sign for a credit card purchase? No one actually looks at the signature. Here is a very funny prank pulled by your average guy in a suit.
