Lights

Annoucing my website for the CLAUSE Project http://palmbaylights.com

I have Launched the website, and am almost finished putting up lights. More to come soon.

Yesterday I started putting up lights for my Christmas display. Everybody kept on saying, Halloween isn't even here yet don't put you lights up. I told them I don't want to feel rushed later because I am going to have my official lighting ceremony the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Anyway I have finished all the lights that are up on my gutterline 14 strings of 150 lights a total of 2100 lights. And I am just getting started.... Evilgrin.

I ran into a couple problems once they were up and I was starting to test them. Half of one strand of Icicles is out, I still need to go figure out what bulb is bad.

clause_lor_1.jpgI know its been a while since I have talked much about this project, but I have  been busily working on it for the past few months.

I believe I last left you off in Part 1 with Pictures of my FM Transmitter assembly completed. Since then I have assembled my Light-O-Rama [LOR] Controllers, pulled power and signal wires, Built and mounted enclosures, and sequenced some songs.

V-VP-CarsonWilliams-WizardsInWinter.jpg As you all might remember I posted about Christmas Lights Transiberian Orchestra Style last December. You also might remember I said my wife wouldn't let me do it to our own house. She reconsidered and we will be doing it this year we have been planning it for a few months and I figured now that I am starting my assembly phase that I should document it as well as writing a tutorial on how to do it yourself.

The first thing you need to know is you need a light controller. One of the better companies out there that sell light controllers needed to run the displays is Light-O-Rama. They are easy to program using their software.

For those who haven't seen it you must watch this video on engadget Here.

The video is just awesome. btw, my wife said no Robogeek you can't, it will annoy the neighbors... Darn.
