A project I have worked on for over 2 years is being featured on the Discovery Channel's "Futureweapons" Show. It has already aired but I have put a copy of it on vimeo. (See the Video After the Break.)
I designed 5 custom Circuit boards, many cable harnesses, and assisted in the mechanical design for 3 motion systems on the MMW side of the Vehicle.
If you remember a LONG time ago, I had posted some of my art here on blogcadre. Well since then, it was chosen to be in the Real World house for MTV. You'll be able to see it in the Red Asian style room! Here's the link to photos of the whole house: LINK.
South Park Studios has made every South Park episode ever made available online for absolutely free and uncensored. The minor downside of "free" is that you have to sit through three short ads during each episode. Link [via]
One of my favorite commercials out there right now is Geico's caveman in the airport commercial. It's a 30-second spot where a 30-something caveman is offended by a Geico advertisement he is passing in the airport. The advertisement states how Geico's website is so user-friendly that "a caveman can do it." The reactions of the caveman are priceless and makes me laugh every time I see it.
The Geico cavemen commercials are so popular that ABC has decided to develop these quirky 30-second spots into a full-on sitcom called "Cavemen". The sitcom "will revolve around three pre-historic men who must battle prejudice as they attempt to live as normal thirtysomethings in modern Atlanta."
The mapping of Springfield began in the Spring of 2001 when we realized that no adequate map of Springfield existed either online or in print. Initially the content was collected from the City Profile and Springfield Vacation pages at The Simpsons Archive, but it has since been expanded by numerous viewings of most episodes of The Simpsons.
PT posted a video of this fantastic Rube Goldberg device made by kids over at the Make blog. Fascinated by this, I looked around a little and it appears they were inspired by a television program for youngsters in Japan called Pythagoras Switch.
These Kids Are Way Too Cute
The show seems to be directed toward kids in the 3-7 age group, but I'm finding myself completely mesmerized. The programs contain a small science segment, brilliant little stick animations, ninja algorithm dancing (seriously!), and each segment is bumpered with these wicked marble machines.
There's an archive of a number of episodes over at TV in Japan. I've also posted a couple samples after the fold.
Every Wednesday around 7:00 p.m. I ask myself the same question, "Is LOST going to be another freaking repeat?" If you are asking yourselves the same question have I got a handy website for you. It's to the point and answers my question "Is LOST a repeat?" with a simple 'yes' or 'no'.
Now this is quality television brought to you by Ben Stiller...
Heat Vision and Jack was created as a 1999 pilot for Fox. Written by Dan Harmon and Rob Schrab, directed by Ben Stiller, this series was passed over by Fox despite critical acclaim from those who've been lucky enough to see it
The 30 minute pilot is about an astronaut (played by Jack Black) with a medical secret who is on the run from the evil Ron Silver and the rest of NASA, with the help of a talking motorcycle called Heat Vision (voiced by Owen Wilson).
