Elephants are such fascinating animals and I have to thank my son for getting me interested in them.

Geek Squad has earned the nickname 'Peek Squad' for some employees' recent unprofessional behavior.

In recent months, allegations have circulated on the Internet about agents copying pornography, music and alluring photos from customers' computers. Some bloggers now call the business the "Peek Squad.

Four current and former Geek Squad technicians in three Best Buy stores told the Star Tribune that they witnessed co-workers pulling up customers' personal photos and urging others to look. Three of the four recall colleagues copying customers' photos onto DVDs and USB drives.

"They're testosterone-driven geeks, and they're going to look around," said Brett Haddock, a former Geek Squad worker at a Best Buy store in Santa Clarita, Calif., northwest of Los Angeles. "It's the male prerogative. The temptation is always there."

Best Buy has assured customers that they will increase monitoring of their employees and that customers' private information is more safe with them than other independent repair services. 

I think I'll leave all computer repairs to my in-home computer guy.

Some Schools Districts crack down on inappropriate blogs

"Maintaining or being identified on a blog site which depicts illegal or inappropriate behavior will be considered a violation of this code."

Now that sounds pretty benign, but can you really control what is posted on a blog?  For example, I know we all hate it when Jason post's stuff about Evangeline Lilly.  But is there really anything we can do about it?  Except maybe help out the Bump Evangeline Lilly Contest?
