I own a Home BackUp and

I own a Home BackUp and though you are hinting that it is "hickish", I don't think that wanting to be protected is something that only "country" people do.. I live in the city, and personally I think that the country would be safer than some parts here are.. Home invasions, burglaries, rapes and kidnappings happen everywhere, everyday.. At least I know that I will be armed if anyone picks my house as a target!

happens everywhere

i agree that crime happens everywhere. we live in the city as well and actually had our home invaded while we were sleeping upstairs. luckily we were unharmed. i know that people both in the country and city own guns... i just disagree with having guns in the home in general. for me, having a gun wouldn't make me feel safer.
